Founder of Seahawks Minor Football Club
A passionate leader whose vision helped build the foundation of Seahawks football. Forever remembered as part of the Seahawks family.
President & Community Leader
Led Seahawks Minor Football for many years with dedication, heart, and passion for the game. His impact on the program and community will always be remembered.
Seahawks Minor Football Club was established in 2011 by founders Gary Linthorne and John Peters. What began as a small Atom and Peewee program quickly grew into a strong community organization, with the club playing its first official games in 2012.
Since then, Seahawks Minor Football has continued to grow year after year, providing athletes across multiple age divisions the opportunity to learn, compete, and develop through the game of football.
Our organization is built around more than just wins and losses. We believe football teaches life lessons unlike any other sport — teamwork, accountability, leadership, discipline, communication, and perseverance. Success in football depends on every player working together as one unit, creating bonds and friendships that often last far beyond the field.
Today, Seahawks Minor Football offers both tackle football and NFL FLAG Football programs, helping athletes of all skill levels find a place within the game in a safe, competitive, and supportive environment.
From first-time players learning the basics to experienced athletes preparing for higher levels of competition, our goal remains the same: to create a positive football experience that helps young athletes grow both on and off the field.
Seahawks Minor Football is proudly community-driven and continues to grow through the dedication of volunteers, coaches, parents, sponsors, and the athletes who wear the Seahawks name with pride.
